• Blue Waters System Reboot in Progress

  Return to service is now estimated at 6pm CT.

  The Blue Waters compute system is being rebooted this morning due to an issue with its high speed network that was causing most jobs to fail.  Login node, filesystem, and data mover components are not expected to be interrupted by this operation.  The job scheduler will see a brief interruption for system updates that will overlap with the reboot.

  Thank you for your patience while the issue is resolved.  Estimated return to service for the compute portion is 2pm CT today.

  Watch the Blue Waters portal blog for updates as well as a mail notification upon completion.
