Blue Waters' New User Training is a free online workshop for new users of the Blue Waters system.
This is a hands-on workshop in which participants will gain first-hand experience using the system. While anyone interested may register to attend, only individuals that already have a Blue Waters account will be able to conduct the hands-on activities.
Participants will learn how to log in, transfer data of various sizes to and from the system, manipulate available software stacks and environment, compile small projects, submit "jobs" and check on their status, control the level of parallelism in the jobs, tips and tricks for making jobs run sooner, and more.
The event will be hosted at NCSA and it will be webcast on YouTube Live.
Send questions and comments to bw-eot@ncsa.illinois.edu.
